Today's Thoughts

Today is going fine... I weighed this morning and have gained about a pound since last time I weighed... back in April I think. The damage could be worse, so I'm not upset about it. Just by tracking and making some minor changes, I can get it moving in the other direction. Larger changes will lead to larger movement :)

This morning I took my car to the dealership to have the AC fixed... I live in Alabama, so it's pretty much a necessity for me. It took several hours and $600, but it's done.

Speaking of changes, here are a few I'm thinking of:

-New clothes. Triangle Woman commented that I would look better in more fitted clothes (as I still wear my 35-pounds-heavier wardrobe, which was baggy on purpose). It's something I've been considering myself for a while. Plus, today I wore my smallest pants (size 12), and my mom commented on how good I looked. So I'm going to start getting some better fitting clothes, although I can't buy a whole new wardrobe right now (who can? lol).

-Fat reduction. I read someone's blog this morning (forgot her name, sorry) which talked about Sparkers who still had high body fat at their goal weight, and how that was unhealthy. She made some very good points which encouraged me to focus more on (or at least as much on) fat as on my actual weight. As much as I like to see smaller numbers on the scale, I think I would like even more to have less belly and thigh fat, because that's what other people know about :P (They can't see my scale!) According to the scale's body fat measurer feature, mine is 37.2%; I'm going to keep tracking this number. (I know that isn't a super accurate way to measure it, but at least I can make sure the number goes down instead of up!)

-More freggies. I don't eat enough fruit and vegetables, although I love many kinds of both. I'm going to the grocery Thursday and will try to find some that are low prep I can keep on hand. I will start tonight with some extra salad with my meal :)

Friday I'm going to take a new "before" picture in my balloon dress :D (I won't be all made up until then, lol.) That way I can compare later and see if the tummy has gotten smaller :)
