The In Between Stage

Tuesday, June 18, 2013

There are pants folded in a box under the bed which are the size I had gotten to when I started Spark People, 20 pounds ago. They are going to charity next week. As my weight dropped, I moved down to the next size, the pants were tight and I really looked for ones with a little stretch.

Now that size is too big for most all of the pants I own. So I went out to look for some at my goal weight size. They are tight and again feel better if there is a little stretch. However, it is harder to lose this next 8 pounds so I am going have this problem for a while longer. The next weight loss will put me square back into my goal weight pants. This is great except that finding the In-Between-Stage pants is not fun.

Some are cut so that they are way too tight for right now. Some are just not flattering even if they fit ok, especially low-waisted ones. So in addition to trying to find clothes for a 65 year old, the search is even harder while I am in the In-Between-Stage. At least I have made it here and there is visible progress. Now I just need to keep on the program and make sure I exercise every day. I am really looking forward to being the Just-Right-Stage.

I have the same problem. It's hard to find clothes to fit where I am at now.

The in-between stages are hard. I've dropped two sizes but only in some clothes and it is all based on how they are designed. It makes it so difficult to look nice while losing weight. emoticon
