Stumbling

Tuesday, June 18, 2013

It seems that for the last 3 months all I have done is stumble get up and stumble again. I don't know why my motivation and willpower went but I know I am struggling. It is my problem and something I have to work out. I know what I need to do but just don't seem to have the push to get it done. I have so many friends at spark people that are supporting me I want to succeed. Why do I fail so miserably with eating nutritional food and staying active. I have great plans everyday but as soon as I start the day I mess up.
I WON'T GIVE UP....... I WANT TO SUCCEED....... I will keep trying and make changes one day at a time. Thanks to all my Spark friends I will make it.

Sometimes our struggles are meant as challenges - and other times they are meant to remind us that we are only human and just need to slow down and be kind to ourselves. You give so much to others but may be neglecting to care for yourself. You are a loving, generous, and kind human being. Please be as kind to yourself as you are to others. You can succeed at this healthy living business. Just take it a step at a time, a day at a time. We all love you and we are cheering you on.

Everyone is different. What I do is have one reward food or meal once in awhile so that I never feel deprived. I plan to eat healthy for the rest of my life. But there are still some of my favorites and sweets (which I love) that I am not willing to give up forever, so I just work them into my plan.

Your most important words... "I won't give up!"--- I often stumble, but I cannot stop! My goal is too important.-- my goal to feel good, enjoy energy, and to find my waistline again! Sometimes just words are helpful motivation. Instead of feeling deprived when passing the pastry at the grocery store, feel "empowered"--- You are strong enough to resist and therefore you feel you are master of your fate. Lately I like to think "empowerment" and not deprivation. Do I really want to stop hauling all these extra pounds around, --- If so, I must become my master! You and I can do this, and we have many Sparkers to cheer us along. Hugs!

But that is life. You fall down, you pick yourself up, brush yourself off and go on. Just don't beat yourself up when you stumble. I think it is part of the process. Be kind to yourself. You can do this! emoticon

I have to keep those foods that are a problem for me out of the house; even after all these years. You are not going to do much damage with fruits, vegetables, low fat dairy, fish and eggs. That's the main part of my day after my morning oatmeal. You have to have SMART goals: Specific
Measurable
Attainable
Relevant
Timely

You can do this; but you have to have a plan. Write it down! A goal without a plan is just a wish. That's not working for you. Be well. emoticon
