In a rut

I've been absent lately. I come by, I read the posts, but I haven't been 100% in it. As such I've regained about 10-15# and have been maintaining at a weight that is 15# higher than my lowest weight, which was not my goal weight at the time (but is my goal weight right now).
I've been slipping back into bad habits - working out hard 1-2X/week but that is all - too tired to do it. I realize my job is just as hard now as it was then, so it's not the job interfering or life interfering, it's me slipping and gaining weight and eating cruddy and therefore I have less energy.
Therefore, I need to change it up.
Nutrition - while I eat great most of the time, I have a major sugar tooth. I've found in looking back at my nutrition over the past few months - I'm undereating most of the day (not intentionally) and likely I'm screwing my metabolism. When I do eat, I'm not focusing on proteins and instead I'm eating too many sugary carbs.
So I'm thinking of trying Paleo for a bit, to cut out those sugary carbs and detox my system. Not limited calorie - limited type of food I'm eating. Hopefully that will give me more energy and I'll feel more energized to work out after a long day at work.
The shorts are too tight this summer - get back to it girl!
