Lately I feel like I'm eating all the time. My week was thrown off last week because I thought I had a whole week more of getting into the swing of summer, but swimming lessons showed up for the kids right away. So here I am still having to wake up in the morning to get them off. I also am used to eating lunch around 11am, the time I set up their lessons.
So, once we get home for the day, I'm off and eating. Fortunately I'm settling into better for me things like fruits and veggies. I only go for little amounts of "junk food" like a spoonful of Nutella (yeah, I'm like that, dipping a spoon in the jar).
We have been managing more evening walks after dinner. I'm surprised that my husband is all in for it. It helps the kids run off some of that energy too.
So far this summer, I seem to have settled into a decent routine and good habits with food. I'm concentrating on produce for the rest of the month and I'll have to work on eating what's in the house for the rest of it. I looked and can't believe how stocked up I am for meat and basics, it's just the fruits and veggies that are eaten like they're going out of style.
I am starting to see my garden producing. It's just peas right now and I think some radishes are starting in a pot I don't remember what I put in there. My purple beans will be producing soon too, since I see flowers all over that plant!
Even though I have been doing a lot more eating that I think I probably should, with so much of it being produce, I'm losing weight again! I have my goal line at a half a pound a week and I seem to be matching it now. Tracking fruits and veggies is working for me! I got tired of writing down everything and I probably wasn't always making the best decision each day, eve though I was in the calorie range, but now I'm feeling better concentrating on what I'm eating instead of how many calories I'm eating. The nutrients I'm getting in those fruits and vegetables are probably helping my energy levels and getting rid of any toxins that may enter my body. It also helps that they're filling me up with so few calories that I could eat all day and not worry about it as much as if I were eating anything else all day.
From my recent high I'm down 2.6 pounds and from my all time high I'm down 52.2 pounds! I hope to keep seeing this trend!
