I woke up this morning wanting to weigh myself. The motivation is back! I'm glad I decided that I am only going to weigh once a week. The weekly weigh-in will be the carrot dangling in front of me. Wow! I love having this attitude again! A week ago I never would have thought of weighing-in as a motivator.
The new attitude got me out for a brisk walk with the dogs this morning. My Australian Shepherd loves fast walks, but I also have a Catahoula Hound, and she thinks that walks are just to find all the great smells in the neighborhood. It is hard to keep a good pace, but at least we got out and had a good walk.
I came back home to start my chicken chores, and I realized that I spend a good hour every morning hauling water and feed, cleaning goose pools, and just walking back and forth to the pens. I couldn't find cleaning goose pools on the fitness tracker. I know the country lifestyle isn't for everyone, but I love it. Every morning I have the opportunity to get outside and interact with interesting animals, grow my own food, and while I am doing it, getting healthy.
Now I just need to figure out an equivalent activity to putting a new tarp on the chicken coop.
