I wonder when...

...I will finally be able to lick this weight gain problem without causing too much grief to my daily routine...I find that I sometimes just don't have the time to cook such meals as I need to, and wind up eating rubbish just for the sake of not staying hungry...I work dumb hours and it is difficult to keep track of what is happening in the kitchen when I come home about an hour after lunch is due...
I think what I need to do is to plan better, and cook perhaps from the night before, or make meals that can be microwaved in trice once I get home.
lots of ideas...need to explore!

    There was a time when I worked two jobs and was raising two girls on my own. I had time over the weekend to cook and used to make a few meals all at once.

    This is a BIG challenge for many people - if possible try to make a plan that FITS YOUR REAL LIFE that makes it easy to eat healthier instead of grabbing whatever. You don't have to be perfect or even do a lot of cooking if you plan for what your REAL life is like.

    yes make ahead. fish can be cooked frozen. put some greens in a pot with a lid and some olive oil and garlic. cook on high one minute stir greens then back on high with cover for tow minutes done. good luck you can do it

Preplannig a weekly menu has been a huge help for me.
Make sure to include quick and easy snacks.
Raw sweet peas in there pods, and sliced raw zucchini have surprisingly become 2 of my family's favorites
because zucchini doesn't get slimy like cucumbers
according to my 16 yr old. Making your plan on the
day your local grocery store ads comes out helps you take advantage of lower prices and include those less
expensive items on your grocery list. I also preshape my own turkey burgers- they can be cooked -or grilled frozen.

Sometimes it's nice to see what others are cooking to helpget inspiration.
If you look around there are also some folks who have freezer cooking sites , so some of the guess work
about what you can freeze and heat is already been
done for you.

    Have you thought about making meals in the slow cooker? I make pulled chicken, pulled pork or pot roast and that will last us a few days. There are some great recipes on SparkRecipes.

    You can do it. Just plan everything out according to your schedule!! it will take time but so worth it in the end!!
