Rain is washing it away

Tuesday, June 18, 2013

It is raining today and my body feels it, but today is an another day. The rain is just here to wash away days that have pasted. My grandson got married Saturday , Kelsey, went up there on Friday and made the cake, which was very good for a 14 year old. She done a great job. She also done decorations. We arrived a little early, it was crazy, they were rehearsing , I told them it was almost 2 ,they needed to get dressed, that when they informed us that the time had changed to 3. They danced down the isle to rap music, Oh my I could not believe it, so disrespectful .The flower girls were cute one was 2 1/2 and she was picking the petals up, then she sat down and throw her's all out. that was cute.It seems like it took forever for them to dance down to the preacher. That part was good and they ad wrote their vows too. It was the worst wedding I have ever been to. We had the meal afterwards and was waiting for them to cut cake , but they were doing that latter, we left, they didn't cut the cake until 8 that night, anyway the rain is here to wash it away. Yesterday while Kelsey and I was cooking diner, my stove caught on fire , she panic . I told her to calm down, she said how can you be calm, I said I hve to . She started opening windows to let smoke out, which was good, because I was putting it out. The wiring had caught on fire, Just burned the stove, nothing else. But the rain is here to wash it away. I am working on this day to be stress free. Things could of been worst. Thank God for letting me be calm , that is one of my good points, when things happen I stay together to handle it, I can fall apart later if I need to.

Do what you have to, control what you can, let go of the rest. Tradition is rare these days...just keep Sparkin'!!

Oh my. Glad that you survived the wedding. Can't say I've ever been to a wedding with rap music to walk down the aisle.

As for the fire, good golly! Glad nobody was hurt and nothing else was burned! I am the type too that can be calm in the crisis but come un-glued LATER!

HUGS to you my dear. You need them.

Very different kind of wedding huh? Seems to be the thing these days. But I'm with you, I love a lovely traditional wedding. :) Glad it was only your stove! Hugs to you!

Wow - some wedding. Rap music? I tell myself I just have to let go what I can't control, but that is still hard for me. Sounds like you have the right attitude.
Like you I am usually calm in a crisis. I get Jell-o legd afterwards...:0)
