Wow -- I tried setting some of the Spark videos on repeat and ended up doing 4 of them for 70 minutes! I suspect I won't be able to move tomorrow...
Actually, I spent quite a bit of time stretching afterwards. I'm exploring the techniques an old Bolshoi dancer talked about, where you relax into the stretch and then tense the muscle, then relax again. It's kind of like PNF, I guess. It felt pretty good :)
So I finished one bootcamp challenge, and signed up for another. My two main issues that I need to resolve with my fitness are:
1. Too many calories from wine.
2. Saying I'm going to do weight training, and then not doing it.
So I'm working on #2 first, lol. I have to commit to 10 minutes of resistance training every day, for a month, and by then hopefully it will be a habit.
I was feeling all smug with myself this afternoon because I did my 70 minutes, got a load of laundry done, and finally got around to setting up our compost pile. Now if I can just get some study time in the for ACE test tonight, I will feel as if the day was a success. :)
This has been the rainiest summer in ages, so D and I haven't been able to walk as much as I wanted. I'm looking for more races for him -- and me, actually. I'd like to do a 5K before I commit to doing the half-marathon here. I've been wanting to do it for years. I have NO idea how to get started running, but I'm sure I can find the info here.
