What a Shocker...

Monday, June 17, 2013

So today was a day like any other. Wake up, take your husband to the doctor's, find out your husband has diabetes.
Wait.
Did I say like any other. I meant like no other.
He has been in total shell shock since this morning. Unfortunately I'm not far behind. It's not what we were expecting in the least. Plus, you start to feel like you don't know what you'll do. What I do know is that I'll be standing beside him as we make some dietary changes. These changes will affect both us and our son but they will be for the better.

I told my husband on Friday that the doctor office called about is A1c. I've been trying for the hardest time to get him to change his eating habits and start exercising. He did sign up at the gym for the first time every in February, but he has only gone about 4 times. Such a waste of money. I would suggest a gym date and he always declines with some kind of excuse. Now, mind you I'm joined at a different gym. I've been with my gym for about 3 years. He went with the other one because it had a great promotion deal, however the price has since gone up. I'm going to keep trying, but I can only do for so much to help him make changes.
