Father's Day Gift
Monday, June 17, 2013
Saturday was a resting day for me. Dan and Julie went on another motorcycle ride. He took her around and entered Yosemite on Hwy 140 and then came back on Hwy 120. That is a beautiful ride. Dan said the only mistake was going on a weekend.
Yesterday I rode with Debbie & Greg on one of our favorite loops. (Cherry Lake Rd/Mather Rd/Evergreen Rd/Hwy 120) It was Debbie’s first time doing the whole route. She did great. Total distance: 30 miles. Total climbing: 2900+ feet.
Dan was flying with Carol again in her helicopter. They dropped it off in Hayward. She gave Dan’s dad a ride before she and Dan came back home. His dad is almost 90 and used to work building helicopters so he was excited about this. Great father’s day gift!
Today Dan, Steve and I did the same loop I did yesterday. Dan has to get more riding in to prepare for the tour next month. He is actually cooperating on the plan to get him up to speed. He did well today but is tired this evening. Next ride is Wednesday but I won’t be there to crack the whip.
