Today, I celebrate living. I have my health, my mind and love. My daughter-in-law has been sick, my granddaughter- the youngest had a seizure, the federal government has furloughed us and my agency is doing us for 7 pay periods consecutively. We owe the internal revenue service, the riding lawn mower broke, and I still celebrate.

Everyday and everyone has something that is not 100% positive going correctly and we can make it a positive or we can dwell in the negative. I chose to celebrate it all, because each step, each challenge is an opportunity and a lesson on living.

Recently, we began to evaluate our diet. I have not done much this year at all, and just recently started a concentrated exercise effort - not just my willy nelliy workouts, but those that make sweat, and stretch me and it feels real good to me.

I suppose the adage that when you are ready, the universe will create the opportunity for that time.

I make no promises today, no resolutions, I am going to find ways daily to celebrate and be grateful and my health, weight, spirit, will reflect that as well. God bless you all.

My son is furloughed, too. He'll be down 20% of his income just when he has 3 kids in college. Fortunately, the newest one got a large scholarship. It would have been worse.

I so admire your spirit, dear heart. And you may not have done much this year with your diet, but look at all you've accomplished so far, on a whole. WOW! It's a different you in your pics. And you still have that big, beautiful smile.

You're an inspiration to so many.

That is so awesome that you are able to praise God and celebrate even in the dark times! I'm sending up a prayer that things will get better for you! But in the mean time, you are setting a wonderful example for the rest of us! emoticon emoticon
