Lobster Mac & Cheese, my Guilty Pleasure

Monday, June 17, 2013

I can almost hear the collective gasp...lobster mac & cheese!!!? Shouldn't that be forbidden for anyone trying to lose weight? Never to be mentioned, not to be discussed, only to be eaten by 'FAT' people....500 calories per cup.

I like lobster mac & cheese. Yes, let me say it again. I like lobster mac & cheese and I refuse to avoid it. I will not live on carrot sticks. I may not lose weight as fast as others, but I know that eliminating everything I love is not the solution.

I believe in portion control and being active. On Saturday morning, I cycled 11 miles. On Saturday night I ordered my guilty pleasure. I did not eat the whole bowl, I split the order in half.

For me this works.

I have never had that! I have to admit, mac and cheese itself is one of my favorite things!

Good for you for enjoying something you really love. I've never had it, but it sounds like a meal I would love.

Way to go!! If we give up everything we love, what's the point. Control and knowing when to indulge and when not to is key. You are on your way to success!!!

I love your attitude! I, too, refuse to live on carrot sticks and believe there are no 'good' foods or 'bad' foods. With portion control, everything can fit within a healthy lifestyle! I hoped your lobster and mac-n-cheese. It sounds delicious!

I believe that deprivation is not healthy. You bike 11 miles and are active and ft, you eat all things in moderation.

If it's working for you then no one can tell you otherwise! It's only a problem when one can't admit they're eating more than they think, or even less! A healthy outlook is all it takes. emoticon
