Procrastination. And a weight update.

I should be working on a project right now. The deadline is coming up, and I haven't done a thing, really - it's a huge report, of which I have written maybe a quarter of what I should have done by now. Sigh. I *really* don't want to work on it.

So, here is a blog to help me procrastinate!

I had the BEST weekend! I spent it with my bf, of course, and it was amazing.

Tonight I have two and a half hours of Ultimate Frisbee. Should be fun. I should be tired.

This morning I did not go to Boot Camp, as 3 workouts in a day is just too much for me. I did, however, go to Crossfit. The WOD was two five minute AMRAPs (as many reps as possible) with a 3-minute rest in-between. The exercises were 4 hand-release push-ups (all the way down to the ground, pick up your hands for a millisecond, then back up), four front squats with the Rx 95 pounds, and a 100-meter run.

My coach allowed me to try the prescribed weight (95 pounds); I did it, but I started to lose form - it was a little too much weight. He told me next time to do 10-15 pounds less, which bummed me out, but at least for this workout, I did it! I finished almost 5 rounds each time. So I felt pretty good about that.

Saturday we did one heck of a WOD - 5 rounds for time of 30 WallBalls, 30 Box Jumps, and a 400-meter run. That's 150 box jumps, 150 wall-balls, and 2000 meters. I finished in 28 minutes, but was not using Rx weight on the wall balls because of my shoulder. Lame, but oh well. It was a LONG 28 minutes. Kind of wiped me out for the rest of the day.

I weighed myself on Saturday, and the scale read 126. Three pounds in three days? Crazy. But, my self-restraint fell apart on Sunday, with lunch out with some friends, and several margaritas...and some gelato. Oh well! I am back to it today, although I have already eaten 1300 calories - the crossfit workouts make me really hungry! But hopefully I can counter-balance the extra calories with the 2.5 hours of sprinting back and forth I will do tonight at Ultimate.

Ok. Enough with the delay tactics - I should get back to work.

    it sure is easy to use exercising to keep you from doing what you need to do. is our coach aware of all the stuff you do?
