Summer is here, the weather is great, and I still have the extra me. I been apart of Spark people since 2011 and I have been off and on about tracking food, exercising and taking my weight loss seriously. Now that I have more time since I recently graduated from college, I have come to the conclusion that even with having work and practicing, I now have more time to focus on becoming healthy. I have always struggled with weight for as long as I remember. I lost weight when I first started college because I would always walk to the subway from my house to commute to school and do that same walk when I am coming home from school, so that was the beginning of it all. Because of that, I have dropped down from a size 16 pants to a size 12! Growing up, I actually don't remember having much of a healthy diet and I feel that I had to have the same exact diet that my mom had. Her diet is good, but she is also overweight and wasn't too fond of me wanting to eat healthier than I was and that I wanted to begin having a healthy lifestyle. Now that I have access to both a gym and a pool where I now live, I can easily begin being healthy. I now have complete control of the reins to begin a healthy lifestyle. Maybe by doing this, my mom would want to join in.
