Find your inner peace...

Monday, June 17, 2013

I know, I know - many people turn away (or even run) from the good word, but for those who know Christ will know and appreciate my blog. I won't judge anyone, but I would appreciate it if negative comments are kept off my post.

My inner peace comes from knowing Christ. Before last week, I have always said my prayers in bed because my knees would hurt from kneeling.

Well, I tried something new last week. I started to kneel while I said my prayers. Sure, it hurt for the first couple of days - but that pain went away! Of course, I give all the credit to the dear Lord who keeps making me stronger everyday.

When life seems to turn your world upside-down - look and even fight to find your inner peace. I speak from experience - it's worth the fight!

Run a good race... for the heavenly rewards are definitely worth it!

And remember, it's not about you - it's all about Christ. He gave up his life for us under the worst kind of torture imaginable. So, when I think about my hurting knees - I think how trivial my little aches and pains really are.

May God bless each and every one of you as you run your own race! emoticon

This is one of the best Blogs I have had the privilege to read & I thank you for posting it.

When I think of what the our Savior did for us in going to the cross at Calvary, I am overcome with such an overwhelming joy & an equally as overwhelming sense of unworthiness to be honored by such love & such a magnificent gift. I am always struck with the knowledge that it wasn't just the physical torture that He endured on my behalf - it was, also, the mental anguish of separation for the Father, because of His willingness to take on all my sins (& all sins ever committed & yet to be committed by human kind.) No trial that we ever endure will even come close to the pain & suffering He took on for us.

And what really causes me to joyfully wonder about & rejoice in, is the fact that He would have suffered the cross for me alone, if I had been the only person ever created to need salvation through Him. Think about that truth in relationship to yourself or anyone ever created or yet to be created. What pure love He gives us all!

God bless!
