Wow It's Been A While

Monday, June 17, 2013

I can't believe it's been almost a week since I last wrote a blog. So unlike me. I think that life has sort of leveled out lately and I'm not all stressed out.

I've been spending a lot of time with DH, DD and Summer at the park. She has really settled in and become a part of the family. She was scarfing her food for a while and now eats only at night. At first, I was worried, but, I think, as a rescue many of them start out thinking the food will be taken from them. She realizes it is hers and it is going no where. We got her her own bed to sleep in so she could get out of ours. It seems to be doing the trick.

Work has been busy. Got another accepted offer. That is always good.

Got out to see JC two days last week before the heat swooped in. Planning to go again tomorrow.

I was a little bothered last week as there was one of the major horse shows going on in Springfield, Ill. I noticed my sister took 3 horses there. That is at least $15,000 for 3 of them. Yet, this same witch needed all of my mother's things to auction to fix up the house. BS. I decided not to let it get to me.

My weight went up and then it came back down. I've decided you need to be flexible in what you eat. You need to vary the calories.

I think the second epidural worked. I really have no pain even after riding.

DS got the job. It is only part time, but will look good on his resume if he can keep this one. He will have his job coach with him everyday for this first week and then she will pop in on him after that.

So, that is my update. Nothing earth shattering. Just moving along.

I only write blogs once a week, so that is ok. You are enjoying life and that is the main thing. Glad Summer is feeling happy at her new home! And happy to hear the epidural worked!
This heat is hard to do things in. I love the biking in it, since the wind keeps you cooled off a bit. But, won't go more than 4 miles in it for now.
I get you on what you are saying about your sister...mine still irks me to this day on things they do and say (from what I hear anyway).
Have a great day!! emoticon

I'm glad you are pain free. That has to be such a relief to you after struggling with it for so long.

I'm glad your son got the job. It may be only part time, but that give him a chance to easy in slowly rather that jumping in full tilt. I hope the employer is patient and understands the special considerations that your son needs in order to be successful.

I am glad that you are feeling better. And congrats to DH on his job.
I am starting to volunteer at the library twice a week.
They need extra help with their Summer reading program.
Got animals coming in today. (Will be watching both animals and children).
Three of my favorite loves in the same building.
Hope that you have a great day my friend!!! Holly emoticon

You've had a lot of positives in your life lately. Don't let your sister be a negative - that's her life and problems.

Great update... lack of blog just meant more time for Summer & JC, and they're much more important than daily updates to us!

Smart move, lettin' it roll off... Karma will catch up to her ;) Focus on you and yours, that's what's important!

Give Summer a hug from us! (& a lick from Chrissy)

You offer your best advice when you say to simply, "Let it go!" So on target!

Praise God for pain that lessens or goes away. May you continue to have these great days and quality time with JC. Summer is short. (My leaves are just coming out -- apple blossoms expected to begin later this week -- seems I live on the slowest side of the street!) Enjoy!

My BIL is the same way. "I have nothing yada yada yada." Then he shows up to fathers day with all new clothes. You are so right to let it roll off your back.

You should've told me your sister was in town; I would've tripped her for you, hehe. It's interesting what people think of as priorities and will spend any dollar figure on them, but if they see any money for something they want, they will do anything to get it because it's not their money.

Your dog is sweet, and I'm glad the epidural helped so you can ride again. You and JC are a pair!
