I'm weighing in on Tuesdays, so today is my last day of the week, and sadly I was out of my range this week more than on. 3/7 days I ate within range and the other 4...wowee.
We did go to the farmer's market Saturday, and we stopped at our favorite food truck for pizza. We got one slice each. My husband had an allergic reaction to his (cross-contamination) and I ate it instead. Then he got a hot dog at Costco.
We had ice cream two days in a row. Shared with my daughter of course, but still...
And we had apple pie for Father's Day.
Quite a spread of debauchery there!
Today I am back on the wagon. My aim for next week will be 4/7 days sticking with my range. I have a business trip, so I know those two days will be tough; one has a dinner out and the other will be full of airport food, whatever I can grab in a limited amount of time (or peanuts and soda! Peanuts and soda count as a meal if you just can't get anything else!).
We did get lots of healthy options while we were shopping. Kale and a sweet potato for lentil soup that I will leave while I'm out of town. Veggies to make this vegetable tian side dish I love, with fish. And organic cherries and strawberries! YUM.
I would say that I would aim for salads at the airport, but my trip is so compressed, I will be lucky to run by somewhere selling anything edible. I have 35 min. layovers for both flights. One leaves at 7:45 (and I know I'll be lucky to get there in time to get on the plane). The other is after a day of business at 5 something PM, and I may have a bit more time to find something decent at that one. Lunch both days will also be out of my control so I just hope there will be something vegetarian involved.
I'm looking forward to getting home from this trip and not going anywhere on a plane for a long, long time.
