UPDATE: - June Goals :(

June Goals!

I don't even know why I make goals, I never achieve them.

I have been getting a few exercise minutes in each day towards the challenge that my employer has going on until September.

Not one day closer to being sugar-free! Nor am I free of my bond to the vending machines!

I have been taking my medicine daily, but not my supplements. Even though they are all divided out into the pill boxes.

I'm just lazy, that's why I am fat!!!

Those DVD's have been pulled out, the dust knocked off, only because I was looking to see which one's I own. I have not put a one of them into the DVD player.

I was able to get in two, two-hour horseback rides this weekend. That was very nice! Although it was hot outside!

I'll keep plugging along . . . .

What else is important in your life right now? Horseback riding is great exercise! If the DVD's don't work for you maybe have a goal of packing healthy snacks for yourself. It could defeat heading to the vending machine. Sometimes my goals include reading a book a month for myself. Does it help me lose weight, no but it but it gives my mind the break it needs. Also a July goal will be to respond to other people's blogs at least once a week b/c I find them motivating. Who knows I can learn something or help someone. Check out my last blog it was a review of my goals and where I am with them. It might help.

I easily know how you feel. I feel the same way, too.
It's excellent you have a horse to ride.
I would really like that.

I know just what you mean. I feel like I'm in the same boat. Someone wrote in a blog about still tracking and sparking even though she felt that she wasn't in it as much as she used to be and because of persevering, once again it can click and that's what I've been doing with hoping that it'll click again and I'll lose like I was so good at earlier! Just the fact that we're not giving up is a huge spark my dear! You can do it and so can I and we will! It will click!! emoticon

You managed to get out and complete 2 - 2 hour rides - GOOD FOR YOU!
Sometimes the goals we set for ourselves are not realistic and sometimes we sabotage ourselves and sometimes there just aren't enough hours in the day for all we'd planned to do. Praise yourself for each and every little thing you did manage to accomplish - drinking water, riding Magic, getting in a little extra exercise cleaning the barn, eating more vegetables than usual - whatever. It's okay. All you can do is the best you can with what you've got. If you aren't doing the best you can, then you're letting yourself down and that's an issue you'll need to work out with yourself.

Horseback riding is good exercise plus the fresh air !! Maybe if you make smaller goals and accomplish those. Right now I'm in a slump and will join a gym for awhile to get the Spark going again !! Keep us posted. Hugs Lesley

I can't do goals either. I'll tell myself tonite when I get home I'll do this or that. But then when it comes time I always find myself doing nothing. So I've made a decision to not think about what I'm going to do and just do what I feel like when I get home. Be it the eliptical, treadmill or DVD's.

emoticon Much success on your journey! emoticon

Focus on the things that you HAVE achieved - 2 x 2 hours horse ride sound great: you exercised and got some fresh air.

If you focus on the positive, it might help you little by little achieve your other goals! emoticon emoticon

It is so hard to keep going, even once you start. Maybe best not to look at the "challenge" ahead, and just focus on doing 1 thing each day to feel good. Your horseback rides were great exercise. Keep going - if you enjoy them, maybe you're not meant to do dvds in the house. If you have the opportunity to exercise outdoors, why not take advantage of that. Keep going :)

Concentrate on the *good* things that you are doing and be proud of them! (those horse back rides sure sounded like something to be proud of!!! :D) Celebrate those things and build on them :) emoticon
