My husband needed new tires on his car, so I got up at the asscrack of dawn on Saturday to follow him to the tire shop so he wouldn't have to sit and wait. Even though when I get tires, that's what I do. The upside to only having one car Saturday morning was that he pumped my gas for me and went to the grocery store with me. By the time we finished shopping, put everything up, and had breakfast his car was ready. He followed me over to the park, and while I walked the trail he flew his quadcopter in the field. They're doing some kind of construction at the back of the park right now (I hope their adding another bridge over the deep park of the creek) so one of the foot bridges is closed and the detour is just some gravel that's been smashed in the ground by a bulldozer. My bad foot was not impressed; it can't compensate well on ground that uneven.
After my walk I sat on one of the benches and watched my husband fly. After a few minutes we heard someone calling his name. It was one of his coworkers that I hadn't met before. Of course my thought as she was shaking my hand was "Great first impression... I'm covered in sweat and all of my belongings are in my bra!"
After we got home from the park, I had lunch and then drove out to my parent's house to enjoy the pool.
On Sunday I ate a very light breakfast because we had plans to eat brunch with my inlaws for Father's Day. We went to a local fancy schmancy steakhouse. We were having salad for dinner, so I was able to eat whatever I wanted at brunch. It was sooo good. I had fresh fruit for an appetizer, then prime rib with roasted potatoes and baby carrots. And creme brulee for dessert. Feeling good about my choices, and did much better than the last time we ate out with my husband's family.
I ordered the Mega Yoga DVD, and it should be here Wednesday or Thursday. I think I might make yoga my weekend thing.
