Emotional Eating Chapter 452

Monday, June 17, 2013

I found this image on Pinterest this morning. The biggest part of my journey is recognizing my emotional triggers. I have come so far, but need to be ever mindful of my emotions so I don't try to bury my feelings in food...any more. I have been doing great for awhile now, but this weekend was a tough one. I had a couple of slips, but refuse to beat myself up. I'm getting there! I'm a work in progress! I will succeed!

And just because I do believe laughter is the best medicine...

Happy Monday Spark Peeps!

I am an emotional eater as well and something I need to constantly watch myself for. I wonder if it ever goes away or if you just get good at not doing it???

Thanks for the laugh! I agree... laughter is the BEST medicine! Heck... I laugh all the time.... so I must be pretty healthy then! emoticon emoticon

Great job on dusting yourself off and pushing on. Nothing good comes from beating ourselves up.

Great strategies for combating emotional eating. For me, this is the hardest part of the journey. I know how to eat well, exercise and the rules of stress management. However all of that can completely go out of the window if my emotions get the best of me.

You are AMAZING! Thanks so much for sharing!

It's great that you realize we all have slipups and we just get back on course. I love the last pic, it's how I sometimes feel.

Congrats on surviving your slips ups! We all have them, you've kept a good attitude and that is SO important.

I love the HALT - borrowing it!
