I'm still here, enjoying Hawaii, fighting the good fight for health and happiness. I'll get it out there now, I'm about eight pounds above my lowest weight, but I promise I'm still walking and eating well, just sometimes a little too well!
Okay- here's the news:
Mike and I are engaged!
After five years together, he truly surprised me and proposed at sunrise on top of Haleakala on what was supposed to be HIS birthday weekend on Maui. It was a magical, exciting, and beautiful weekend. Three weeks later, I'm still feeling fuzzy...

The MOST amazing mango.
Lately we've been doing ridge hikes, which are awesome for cardio.
I joined a CSA- once a week fresh veggies are delivered to my work for $20. This week we had collard greens, Okinawan sweet potatoes (purple), butternut squash, and sugar bananas. It was like a taste of fall in almost-summer, so I made a comforting meal out of most of it.
The amazing mango with nonfat vanilla yogurt and crushed granola bar, lol. Dessert!
What's been going right:
-Hikes each week
-Making healthy breakfast and lunch during the work week
What needs work:
-Getting more activity during the week
-Taking it easy on rich food and drinks during the weekends!
Can do it, dang it!
