I was reading the Spark blog entries today and one of them mentioned something about what is your fondest memory of your father. Well, it got me thinking. My parents were divorced when I was 2 years old so I do not have childhood memories of my father. About 20-25 years ago, I reconnected with my father through email mostly. I have not seen my father til about two years ago when we had a family reunion. Since then, I have seen him 2-3 times a year. The last time I saw him was at my nieces graduation. I got to sit between my mother and my father at the ceremony. That was pretty cool but still not the fondest memory. The fondest memory was when we were hugging at my brother's home before the ceremony and he said to me, "I really love you, you know." Just thinking about it brings tears to my eyes again. It meant so much to me and still does. Anyway there is another family reunion in July that I am planning on attending and it should be good.
