Not feeling motivated

Sunday, June 16, 2013

I have had better days. I had a night shift last night, so I came home at 8am and slept until 4pm. Then I went to see my parents right after I woke up until now, almost 11pm. I therefore did not have time to work out and Im going to a night shift at 11:45pm!

My parents had bbq food, so I ate steak and a hamburger for dinner. I did not really overeat, but at the same time I didnt feel like this was the healthiest meal ever.

Im feeling pretty unmotivated right now emoticon but tomorrow is a new day and Im just entering 6 days off work! So Ill have plenty of time to work out!

Try not to get too discouraged. We all have days where we are tired, sick, celebrating, or unmotivated. You're doing well. Stay focused and positive. You've got this.

Keep doing what you can and allow for your limitations!

It is so hard to stay motivated when working overnights. I know how you feel, I worked overnights for years. It really is hard to feel motivated to do anything but sit on the couch after an overnight shift. You can do it though! I found that eating a little bit at night like some fruit or something helped keep my body more regulated or something so I wouldn't feel quite as groggy after finally sleeping. If I ate during the night I typically wouldn't eat before going to sleep then. It all seemed to even out and I still lost weight! Good luck!

Don't beat yourself up -- sounds like you are really tired and need a little time off to take care of you. Sometimes that's all you can do. Be sure to focus on you for a few days!
