Learning to share. Week 1

In order to achieve something, you have to DO it.

I remember how my Pa (Happy Dad's day to all the dads! : ) ) meant it as a serious argument in a quarrel years ago. It made me smile instead. Indeed, this is the most brilliant quote in my life so far, and the most brilliant is its simplicity.

Action is the only thing that really counts.

That's why I'm taking action now.

First,
sharing my progress. Writing about my action and emotions during it.

Second,
Setting a goal - to lose half a kilo or a pound this week.
Previously, I got freaked out by the long-term goals. They just seemed to be so hard, so far away, and I could not imagine them being a reality. That might've been one of the reasons I failed. Now, a pound is a small step. Achievable. I can do that.

What comes into your minds, when you hear - "lose a pound in a week"? For me, the calculator in my head switches on. A week = 7 days / 3500 kcal I have to spend = approx. 500 kcal per day.

Alright, still seems to be a lot.
But achievable. :)

    That's how I am looking at my weightloss journey, too. Just one pound a week. That is the goal and eventually we will get to our long term goals.
    I've been really encouraged with how well it has gone!
    The smaller goal is definitely the way to go!
