Yesterday was the end of something. I blogged on a personal for 3+ years and yesterday, after talking to my husband about what was best for me I decided that it was time to say goodbye. I loved blogging for a long time, but since my life started changing at a million miles an hour (getting married, moving 7hrs south, getting a new job, adjusting to being a wife, etc) the blog just wasn't changing along with it. It was holding me back. Keeping me in the past and making hold on to some things that I really need to move past.
My blog used to inspire me to change but I got too bogged down with link ups, challenges and the number of followers I had. I was blogging for other people and lost what I had loved for so long...a place to share my thoughts and write. It used to be a place to write...but turned into a stress to figure out what to write and how to best impress my readers.
I woke up this morning with the thought that today was Day One. My first day without having the blog. What was I going to do with the time? What was the next step I needed to take? I have being trying to get healthy on my own and it just hadn't been working. I thought of that first. And then I remembered Sparkpeople. I had tried it a couple years ago and thought that this site could be what I needed right now.
Here are some of my long term goals:
~Get more active.
~Become healthy before having kids.
~Be a healthier cook for my husband and I.
~Look up healthy living activities in my new community and surrounding areas and get involved.
My Goals for this week:
1. Go on three bike rides.
2. Eat veggies with every lunch and dinner.
3. Drink 4 bottles of water every day.
4. Get at least 10 minutes of activity every day.
5. Make my inspiration collage..."Why I Want To Get Healthy"
I am going to have five goals each week and update how I did on them each week. I like this because it is a tangible way to hold myself accountable.
I am looking forward to making some friends on sparkpeople because we are all in this together! Please comment/add me as a friend...I would love to connect with you!
Until next time,
