This was taken from a blog I started on another site. I wrote it June 8th, 2013 and thought I should try 2 sites before deciding on one.
Today is a big day for me, I have finally decided to do body shots...I asked my husband to take them for me. It's been a long time since I allowed a body shot, the last time, I was pretty pleased with me. Today, not so much.
WE just moved ot Victoria BC and the rental we are living in has FULL closet MIRRORS beside the bed. So, every morning, I roll out of bed and stare at my reflection, just staring, wondering what the heck happened. Well, the stares turned into emotion and since I am dealing with a lot of sad emotion anyways, I decided my reflection COULD evoke positive emotion, if I DECIDED that's what I wanted to do. I decided that I would lose weight.
I bought an elliptical machine and was on that thing for 3 days straight, 10 - 10 - 20 minutes. My suunto heart monitor told me I needed a break, so I took one. That thing between my ears convinced me that I deserved a coke! So, off to the fridge for my reward for doing 40 minutes of exercise in 3 days! Just typing it now sounds so foolish, but I guess that's how the heck 'it' happened. So, that was in April, May brought the flu - I don't take the flu shot either. The flu had me down for 3-4 weeks, I was back on my inhaler. So, I was rolling out of the bed and staring at myself, emotionless again. What the hell could I do? I knew one thing, I can't do this alone so off I went to see mr. Google. "What is the best shake I can have for breakfast?". Well, about 30 minutes into my research, I read a post somewhere, "I'm on shakeology, and exercise, seems to be working great"...'shakeology, I mused'?? More reserarch. I really liked what I saw and read, it was different to me. I'm Indigenous, it made sense to me.
So, I joined a team for free, I also joined Spark at the same time. I also decided to lose 20 pounds before my birthday, which is 13 July 13. My starting weight is 213, I am now 202. I get on that elliptical every morning for 30 minutes and it getting easier in just 1 week!. I am also on PGX until my Shakeology arrives. I decided to try that but it's expensive, but if I can cruise the last 10 years of my life healthy, it's worth it! Until then, I'm doing the best I can with PGX, Holy Crap breakfast cereal, and no POP!
