What are signs of returning health and fitness

This was the Spark Coach assignment for me today but really, how much more important is anything on this journey than assessing your own progress?
I have mentioned some of the more obvious things in recent blogs like getting off medications for diabetes and high blood pressure and improvement in kidney function as measured by serum creatine. In addition there are some less obvious signs of return to health.
A few months ago I couldn't have imagined being able to spend hours walking about the yard and gardens doing various chores without getting totally fatigued and needing to lie down and rest. Now I can spend the whole morning doing this and go back after lunch for more.
A few months ago I was wearing size 16 jeans and dresses and they fit about right. Now I am wearing size 12's and they are fitting just about right and are comfortable. I even discovered yesterday that I could once again wear my favorite pair of dress sandles! These things are big indicators.
I look at myself and see how small my wrists look now; I walk up and down stairs in my house with no difficulty at all. I was able to have three couples over for dinner without undue stress and enjoyed my company.
Perhaps most important of all, I once more am getting more joy than sadness out of life and no longer dwell on the wreck my health had become. I am finally convalescent. I thank God for his many blessings and this website is one of those blessings. I would encourage anyone reading this to sit down and think of all the things in their own life that show what progress they are making. It was fun!
