running again with pix of roses & Notre Dame
Sunday, June 16, 2013
i'm running again. and it's wonderful. 10-mile slow low-heart-rate run today, along the river, through the Jardin des Plantes and their wonderful fragrant rose garden, back along the river, approaching Notre Dame from the apse, then up to Pont Neuf, back along the highway (closed to traffic on Sunday for runners, bikers, skaters, walkers, etc) and finally home. i didn't mean to take so many pictures of roses, but i did. these aren't all of them. and then a couple of Notre Dame today. 64°F, lovely breeze, blue sky ... grateful.
this sort of explains why i run ... and part of where the endorphins come from.
and a good thing about running slow and not caring about speed is you have time to take pictures! not going to do it very often. but sometimes.
