A Miracle

Sunday, June 16, 2013

I must share this 'miracle'.

Yesterday I was having a good calorie day. I exercised and came home had a decent breakfast (despite Miss Nag about buy some breakfast out, you're hungry and you worked out so have a big breakfast). Had a tuna fish sandwich for lunch (all within the meal plan). I have to drop my son to the movies and I am pondering what's for dinner. I am thinking about this meal out - ribs, rice, macaroni and coleslaw. So the seed has been planted, the graving grows, I visualize how this meal taste so delicious.

I drop my son to the movies, come home. This thought is growing and growing. I begin to water the thought - you worked out, you don't have anything at home to eat, if you eat what you have at home you'll have to cook tomorrow (Sunday). Don't eat all of it, save some for Sunday. You've got to feed your son on Sunday and he doesn't like your food - so you will have this meal for him.

The seed was now an oak tree, the noise was a crescendo. I couldn't even here the whisper "that meal is like 3000 calories and you know you will eat all of it". Went to collect my son from the movies and as I headed out the JUDGE said - "you're not going to get that meal - you have food home to eat".

I collected my son, came home and heated up some food I had in the fridge to end the day within goal range. That was really a miracle - I still can't believe I did that.
