I am so excited! This has nothing at all to do with weight loss....or maybe it does. We will see how this development may or may not affect it. Nearly 15 years ago I made the hardest decision of my life. My twin boys were 5 years old living in Kansas with my ex husband and I was here in South Carolina. Contacting them was difficult and getting to see them was impossible. When I did talk to them it didn't go very well. They had a step mother who loved them and took care of them as her own, at the time something I couldn't do. So I stepped aside and let them live a happy, normal life. I refused to use my boys as a rope in a tug of war or a tennis ball being bounced back and forth. The age of Facebook has helped me keep tabs on them, I would sneak a peek at whatever I could see on their pages and their father's page always hoping that someday they would contact me. You see as long as I didn't try to contact them I had hope. If I contacted them and they said they wanted nothing to do with me it would be over and I would be crushed. So I kept hope alive and waited. Someday is now today. I woke up to the best surprise ever...a Facebook request from one of my sons. I am so proud of them. They have both joined the Navy. One is in Texas and one is in Virginia. Now my hope is alive that one day my youngest son will get to meet his big brothers.
