I've decided to get a fitbit. What I didn't know was the variety that is available. Does anyone who has one have any suggestions on which one to get. I,m leaning toward the fitbit flex, but not sure. Any advice on which ones work best for you would be appreciated.

I have the One and love it. Mine stays in place fine and seems very accurate to me. I prefer having this on my waistband. I don't think I would like always wearing the Flex on my wrist and I would miss the quick view of my steps. I do think the Flex looks pretty cool though.

Good luck with your decision.

Thanks for posting for advice. Now I'm thinking about getting the fitbit Flex, since it is basically the same price as One.

A new product coming this summer is called Amiigo. It is being developed by some MIT students. It isn't available yet but they say soon. A couple of links to check out.

Here is a link that compares all of their devices:

om/comparison/trackers (you will need to copy and paste)

Anyhow, the major difference between the Flex and the One is that the One will count floors and allows you to view your current data without being near your computer or smartphone,. while the Flex does not count floors and uses a light system to provide you with a "reading" of where you are currently. Some may also say that the Flex is more secured than the One but honestly I have yet to have my One "pop out" of its "wrap."

Whichever you choose I am certain you will be quite happy with what you receive. This device is an awesome motivator!

I have a fit ultra, and I have to re-enforce it so that I don't lose it. I bought a safety leash for pedometers on and tied it to the Fitbit. If I had known about the Flex, I would've chosen that one. How about searching for it on and reading the reviews first, they can be very helpful. emoticon

I have the Firbit Zip. I like it so far. I got it on sale through Walgreen's and paid less than $50 for it.
