Mowing and Mosquitoes in Montana

I had planned to go to Great Falls today as my friend is finally moving back to MT and was to arrive with her U-Haul. Planned on eating at one of our favorite places, "Howard's Pizza" for dinner. She's been longing for that pizza for over a year. I knew I could get a large salad and just have a couple pieces and be fine with it. I told her I had cheated on her and picked up Howard's on my way thru there on Thursday night so I wasn't as desperate for it as she was. Started packing up the car with some things to take to her. She had put out the call for some fat clothes for summer work as she is starting a new job. I have several nice outfits I figured would help her out. I noticed that my front driver's side tire was looking low again and just had it patched last month. Decided I'd better get it checked as I have a lead foot and would hate to have a blow-out at high speed on the 2-lane. Ended up calling her cell and telling her to take her kids and grandkids to Howard's without me as I would be getting new tires on the front of the car and getting the oil changed.
It gave me a chance to come home and mow the lawn which was sooooo long from all the rain. Had to mow it in two stages so got over 12,000 steps in today!! The mosquitoes just love me. Am wondering if they drank enough blood it will show up on the weigh in tomorrow morning?!!
And since I had sprayed and re-sprayed with bug repellent I finished up the lawn and headed over to the raspberry patch to pull weeds. Worked outside sweating and swatting for 5 hours!!
Drank 104 oz-2 of my 52 oz cups of water!! It was a very productive day even though I didn't get to see my friend.
I will head out in the morning when I wake up and get in a quick visit and drop off the clothes and get some hugs and encouragement from her and give her some as she heads out to a different town to start a new job and new career on Monday. I found her a little notebook computer I am going to gift her so she will have e-mail and can see and post on her Facebook page and hopefully can get her to sign up for Spark People!
So all in all it was a good day. I got in lots of exercise and got my yard looking much better. I got new tires and feel much better about the driving I will have to do this week. I am thrilled that my friend is back "home" in Montana. I am really enjoying all the articles and videos and blogs on SP and instead of eating pizza tomorrow I am going to go to Home Deoot and buy irrigation tubing so I can re-learn to hula hoop. I can't believe there was a video about it and then more on how to make hula hoops. I bought the kiddie kind and just couldn't do it and was determined that one of the things I was going to do this year was hula hoop again. I feel like things are finally coming together for me and for so many of my friends. Life is good-but mosquitoes are still bad.
