Here I go Again

I know I am not consistent. uggh I think I start over every year and last year I knew I was in it to when it. But hubby came home from deployment I fell into old habits and stopped being active, so here I am starting over at a whooping 220lbs and I hate it. So I am doing the Low carb thing again because thats what mostly help me lose so many inches off my flabby tummy. I am doing this with my hubby home so maybe I can learn to live this way with him here as a distraction. We are both also doing the Visalus Shakes two meals a day and so far I have lost 4lbs and I am wondering if this will be consistent? My husband hates drinking his meals but I was already use to taking a protein shake twice a day. My only concern is with all the fiber I am now getting upsetting my tummy. So far I have been doing ok. A lil emotional but thats to be expected. I also started a video diary that I hope I can keep up. So I finally admitted I didnt succeed in my goals time to start a new.

    I have started so many times I have lost count. This is my first time on low carb tho and so far so good. I like this way of eating so I think it is around to stay. I am with your hubby tho I don't like to drink my meals, its like I have not had anything to me. I have bacon and eggs of the morning (11am ish) I am not early eater., then i have a snack about 3 and supper about 6pm or so.
Anyway keep going you can do it. i have to this time because of health reasons.

Consistency and accountability are really important, so check in here every day in some way or another - track your food, post in the forums, write a short blog, update your status, whatever.

If low carb is what helps you lose, you're probably going to be on some level of it for a lifetime. There are a lot of resources out there, finally, but it's a carby world, and staying away from temptation is tough. You can do this! It's for you, it's for your family, it's for your husband too!

  I know the feeling I started so many times. I am a Vet and I tried the program for vets called MOVE and telemove. I have my last class Tuesday, I averaged 2 pounds a week. Maybe you can check it out too???

    That's a great idea to figure out what works when your husband is home. I haven't been able to follow very restrictive diets with others around, but am finding I can calorie count almost any food, but sometimes it's easier to track a simpler version of the family's meal. Good job on the 4 pounds. I just reached 2 pounds after 10 days, and finally cutting back my calories from 1800 to 1600 cause I couldn't exercise to make up the difference.

  If that works for you right now, it's all good however, it's lifestyle change and to live a healthy life and will need some adjustments. It's good you all are doing ths together and tell him welcome home and Happy Fahter's Day! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
