If I Have a Stress Fracture I'm Going to be Really Unhappy

Sunday, June 16, 2013

I've been great about walking lately, but my left foot hurts now. It's not painful, but it does hurt a bit. No bruising, no swelling, but something is up for sure. The last thing I want to do is over stress it and cause more problems.

I have crappy health insurance and I don't want to get an X-ray for the hell of it, or, I don't want to use up my cap if rest is all it needs. I don't have a stationary bike or access to a swimming pool but I don't want to stop exercising.

What to do? What to do. I have a doctor's appointment on July 2nd anyway. I guess I'll go easy on it till then.

I have a friend who just went to the doctor for the same type of symptoms. (could be totally different and I'm not a doctor for sure) He was told to rest it as much as possible, and freeze a water bottle and roll it with his foot .

I'm sure you can do floor exercises and arm weights. Spark has lots of good exercise demonstrations.

Hope it gets better soon.

When I was incapacitate I did exercises on my bed. You will be surprise how much moment you can do lying down. Don't doubt it. I have lost over 100 pounds. As long as you are moving your body, it is good exercise.

I am sorry about your foot.
can you tell me exactly where it hurts?
does it hurt more in the morning or at the end of the day?
