Knowledge is Power and It Starts at the Parameter of My Grocery Store

I am very much a numbers person, which is why the Spark program is so enjoyable to me. I can see the calories consumed versus burned. I have to be careful not to estimate calories, but measure.

In the last week I have learned there are many chain restaurants like Red Robin and Jimmy John's that have interactive menus that allow me to see my exact calories after I modify my meals. I actually key in my meals into Spark before I go to the restaurant which helps me to stick to those healthy choices.

Finally, I also learned the very easy trick to shop the parameter of my grocery store where all the healthiest choices are and to shop the center isles with a purpose to avoid the processed temptations.

    emoticon I do the perimeter shopping trick. It really has helped me quite a bit.

I rarely go to a restaurant without looking at their online menu, if they have one. It helps me develop a game plan before I sit down and look at some of their vast menus.

Sometimes at restaurants I make my own meal, if I have to. I am always very nice about it and ask if they can do this or that, and most of the time, they are totally cool with it. I was a server in college, so I really try not to be difficult.
