Great day and met a goal for the month.

Saturday, June 15
Today was a good day. I got up and went to clean the cottage with Dad. It is a big job to do with just one person. Mom does more than Dad but I work better with Dad. Mom has a certain way of doing things and Iím not really sure what that is but it is different from the way I do it. Most of the time she makes extra work as far as I can see. I just try to do my own thing and usually do the bedrooms and the bathrooms and leave Mom and Dad for the rest. Today I did the same and got Dad to Swiffer the rooms and do the windows while I was doing my thing. It went well. Then Dad and I went into Charlottetown.
Mom was at a conference in town and forgot her camera and Dad did not want to go in to bring it to her so I came along. Then he dropped me off in Victoria Park while he went to get some groceries. This worked perfectly because I am out of gas in my car and want to wait until I get paid on Thursday to put more in it. Since I am on vacation, I donít have to go very far until that time. I want to avoid overdraft when I can. Anyway, since I got a free trip to town, I had the opportunity of doing my walk/jog in Victoria Park. It is by far my favorite place to go. Itís right on the water and the boards on the boardwalk are lose enough that it provides some cushion for my knees. Itís supposed to be 1.5K one way so I thought that 5K would take me across it 3 times and meet somewhere in the middle where there is a lookout. It actually turned out that from one end to the other twice is 5K. I was so happy to have done it. It is the easiest place for my knees and I knew Dad would be at the Superstore for a while so I was determined. I have been training for Charlieís Walk which was supposed to be a 5K but the route was cut and now will be 3.6K. I still wanted to do the 5 and thought today was the day. I am so proud of myself for doing it. I started by running intervals but that lasted the first length of the track. I walked the other 3 lengths. I never know what I am going to get with pics because in the sun, I canít see until I take it and go indoors. Then I can see the picture but these turned out great.
I hit my first Runkeeper goal which was to complete a 5K by the end of the month. I also hit the longest distance in a month and it is only half way through. I stayed within my calories for the day as well and although I have still not completed my water for the day, I only have a bit left so it will be done. I also did some yoga tonight which felt awesome after the 5K.
