Vacation is coming...and I'm worried

Just 3 more days and we are leaving for Disney World. Of course, I am very excited about this! We have been several times over the last 25 years and I know how much fun it is....... emoticon

HOWEVER.........

I also know how much FOOD there is. And I know how much fun it is to EAT the yummy, different foods that are there. And I don't want to NOT have that be a part of the trip....... emoticon

BUT...........

I have been working very hard to start learning some new habits here. Life changes, ya know? I am a baby Sparker, only 2 weeks old, but I have lost a few pounds and I don't want to sabotage my success and then fall back into the "I knew I would fail" mindset that is oh-so-familiar...and then quit trying. Again. emoticon

HELP!! How can I plan to enjoy this trip yet control my foodie wishes and not land in a bad mental place when it's over? What if I screw up? emoticon emoticon emoticon

    You will be doing a lot of walking and sightseeing. Stay busy and try not to think of the food. Have fun.

    I think I read somewhere that Disney World has begun to offer healthy food now...not sure about that. But do the best you can...don't overeat, and look at this experience as a fun-filled one, one which will teach you weight-maintenance skills.

    I am still too new to sp to give any helpful hints. The best I can do is say one day at a time, one minute at a time if that is what it takes. Do your best to make good choices and if you don't, don't beat yourself up over it. That is something I have to work on, I am my own worst critic. Have a great trip and enjoy your family. emoticon You might need these for all the walking you will do. emoticon

    First enjoy the time with family! Second just take it one day at a time. One meal at a time. Be aware of your choices during your trip. You will make it through well. Yes it has only been two weeks, BUT it has been two weeks and you are making progress and I think you will know what you should do. Just do it. Think of all thw walking you will get in onyour vacation!
