WooHoo! Another yard mowed...

This is becoming a habit, and sure is a lot more challenging than the elliptical!

Got Chrissy's yard mowed, when it finally started dropping from our high of 81 today (as it went down to 80 LOL). Used Sunscreen like a good girl, too... as the upper part of the yard is 90% sun now with the one tree gone. It's also the part with so many patches filled in, and bumpy, making it a very difficult mow. Front yard is easy by comparison!

But... now worry strikes - last night when we got home from the drive in and I took my shoes off, it felt like I'd had a pebble in my shoe at the base of my right heel. & these in my fairly new BRIGHT PINK shoes. *cries* I honestly don't think there was anything in there. Heel has that numb/tingly pain still. I guess plantar fascitis is probably the cause. Of course, they say it affects the obese... funny, didn't have troubles 20 pounds ago LOL

So, waking this morning, the tingling had subsided some, but still quite there. Luckily, it's still just tingly, and not the all out pain I've had in the past (when I know it's time to rest the ol' boats). Today for mowing, wore my mowing shoes (the other asics gels that WERE my daily wear for the past 9mo-year). Was not about to let a lil' plantar fascitis symptom get me down - and use it as an excuse. I'm thinking, my next few times to the Y, I could probably take it easier on my heels by doing the rowing machine instead of elliptical?

Anyone out there suffer from this? What do you do? I'm thinking I'll just put ice on it this evening (or rather, it on ice LOL), after we go re-fuel our bellies shortly, but other than Tylenol/acetominophen (only thing kidney doc will allow right now - no Excedrin or Ibuprofen).

I have plantar fasciatis in both heals and I tape up my feet before doing any running/extensive walking. You can look up videos on youtube on how to tape them up properly. I also wear SuperFeet inserts in my work shoes (the dress show inserts) and my running shoes.

Could also be a heel spur -- which will eventually go away on its own.

Ouch, take care! I don't have it, but have heard of it! I like mowing as long as it isn't really hot & humid, which is a lot around here, but this year, not so bad!
