It's so quiet...

Saturday, June 15, 2013

This was our first morning without the grand - so quiet - it will take some getting used to. We went down and did the river walk, had some breakfast, hit a few yard sales, stopped at Lowe's and then Wal-Mart. I did the bike on the deck 20 minutes before we went out and 20 minutes after we got back.

This afternoon I plan to clean up the two little bedrooms upstairs: change the sheets on the one bed that was used, wash the windows and find the cobwebs so it will be ready for its next guests.

Yeah, it is always bitter sweet when the little ones leave....But then when you see them again, it is wonderful!

I know what you mean, but I enjoyed my quiet this week with the kiddos at VBS each morning. It's a rare treat, but I'd miss the noise too.

Glad you had that time with your grand. Always enjoyed the times spent with mine. They are older now and always on the phone texting when they are here. emoticon

I like my peace and quiet time after the grands, but I do so enjoy them when they are around. Hope to keep my granddaughter for a while this summer.

It must be kind of lonely after all the running and talking over the week. So glad that we were created to adjust, because these mini-losses are devastating at the time.
