changing it up again

Saturday, June 15, 2013

I have switched my exercise video again...back to No More Trouble Zones. This is an hour workout, as opposed to the 30 DS which is only 27 minutes. All strength training: dumbbell and bodyweight exercises. It's kind of painful, but I feel like I need to get more strength in than the 30 DS gives. I've been playing the video on youtube, which is a bit of an irritation with the ads and all, so I picked up NMTZ and 6 week 6 pack (used) from Amazon. I'm thinking of alternating days on these two. And maybe throw in Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism...or maybe not. Maybe the two videos plus walking will be enough. I'm giving it a shot, anyway.

I'm still not in the exercise/eating right groove that I'd like to be. Things keep getting in the way. I spent Thursday with my dad; he had to go in for a heart biospy (he had a transplant in 2009). It was an all-day thing. The procedure itself only took 30 minutes. The waiting to get released took eight hours. Yep. Eight. I knitted a scarf, read 200 pages of Game of Thrones, and tried not to go right out of my skull. I picked him up at 6:15 in the morning, and we didn't get home until after four. And then we grabbed my mom and went out for Mexican. Needless to say, I did not work out when I got home. I just went to bed.

Today I have the morning to myself, and I worked up a good sweat. I may thrown in the 10 minute yoga thing just to stretch out. And I still need to mow the lawn...I think that's a decnt amount of exercise for one morning!

Sounds like You are really going to get serious! Some real strength exercising!
I have spent time waiting for my parents at the hospital for biopsies, labs, MRI's etc. I'm always surprised at how much waiting is involved. I realize these there's alot going on in medical facilities- but you would think things could be planned a little better so the patient isn't stuck waiting 6hrs for a 30 min. procedure. Sounds like you made the best of your wait though.
Love mowing, it burns up calories, and gives instant gratification.
    Have a Great Weekend!
