I really needed something to get me going in the weight loss world. There just wasn't a whole lot to encourage me. Well, last night at my congregational services a friend gave me a few bags loaded with clothes. I didn't think much about it. The last time I got clothes, most of them were too big. They were actually from her mom, so a lot of them were matronly too.
I'd forgotten about the clothes and went out to eat with my friends at IHOP. Usually I order one of their low cal meals but this time I ordered the split decision (with turkey bacon and turkey sausage though) and a side of hashbrowns. Still, I don't think that it was the worst thing I could have ordered. Some of their omelets are pretty hefty.
I got home and started going through the clothes. I was pretty amazed because they were obviously from my friend and not stuff her mom was getting rid of. There were a few items that were from her mom though - some were usable, others not. What was usable is usable now.
The clothes from my friend though are all trendy. There are a whole bunch of cute sun dresses that fit but I could stand to lose a little. Everything else though is between a size 8 and 14. Pants, shirts, skirts. I'd worried about not having enough clothes once I dropped a major ton of weight. Obviously this will not be the case.
This morning I only had 400 calories for breakfast. I wasn't planning on tracking today, but I changed my mind. Little good choices add up right? I can't undue what I've already done, but I can keep pressing forward.
