Living & Maintaining

Saturday, June 15, 2013

Sorry I've been AWOL for a bit, just been off living & maintaining. I've recently realized that I've been "maintaining" (plus or minus 10 lbs) a 60 lb weight loss for about 3 years now. That's atypical & kind of awesome.

Haven't really been worried about weight loss, etc. since doing my Whole30 (Whole24?). Something about that pushed me into a different direction, with more focus on health & delicious healthy food & happiness, etc. I am more at peace with my body now than I've been in years & nothing has changed about it.

I've just started working out again this week (yesterday) and finally started on the asthma med my doctor wants me to try this morning. We'll see how it goes. Part of not working out for the past couple of months has been my desire to not take any asthma meds after the prednisone mess, but I really do need them when I work out. I'm still off of everything else (although I'll take an Allegra if I'm going to a cat-owning friend's place).

Speaking of friends...I've been making some! I finally attended a meetup a few weeks ago & have hung out with people from it a few times since then! Yay, female friends! (guy friends are easy...I've ended up with a bunch from online dating) After you're out of school it's so hard to just make friends when you're new somewhere...but apparently meetups do work :)

So, that's all that's going on... Hope everyone is well!

Hugs & Sparkles!!!

Congratulations! I'm so happy for you! Living life at peace with your body sounds wonderful. Just out of curiosity, I know you tested regular cheese which didn't work for your body, but did you ever test goat or sheep cheese?
