I went to IHOP yesterday for lunch with my two daughters. It was decided upon to go while we were out shopping so I didn't do my usual look up of nutrition facts first. I could have used my phone to do it, but I felt like it would slow down everyone's ordering so I didn't do it. They had a chicken sandwich served with a small fruit bowl on the healthy menu at 410 calories. They also had a similar chicken sandwich served with fries, of course, no calories listed. I made the unwise choice of picking the sandwich with the fries. When I got home I looked up the calorie count. Wow, the sandwich with the fries was 1230 calories. I ended up just having a vegetable smoothie for dinner to stay within my calorie range. I am making a vow to myself to, if at all possible, look up foods beforehand, or just in general make what I already know is the better choice.
