I went to the mall the other day and with nothing fitting right I sort of had this really blue moment at which point I decided that if the shopping thing isn't working out then I was just going to make this a workout opportunity. Sooo I decided to speed walk around this huge mall to get in some cardio. I'm usually not a mall walker because I go to gym classes to get in a workout *but* with a injured and sore back, I've had to be creative about getting low impact exercise in here and there.
Anyway, looong story short..I walked for an hour! Let's just say that it was actually a lot of fun to explore where all the stores in the mall were without actually going inside..very therapeutic and after awhile, I completely forgot about all the clothes that were a poor fit.
Eden, What a wonderful way to handly a discouraging issue! I get really bummed out when I try things on and they either don't look good or don't fit. Lately I am happier than usual because I am finally starting to see smaller clothes fitting well. But it has almost been a year working on my weight and it is just now starting to show in clothing sizes and fits. I am so proud of you not letting it get you down and rising above it all! I went to the mall myself yesterday and today. I walked for hours and just bought some nice shoes. It is nice to just walk around in the air conditioned mall and get your exercise. Good job!!!!. 1137 days ago
That's wonderful! I love how you turned a negative thing into positive! That's the spirit!I tend to do a heck of a lot of window shopping just in order to get in cardio. The best part is that you don't notice the exercise at all. I also have an app on my phone which tracks how far and how fast you walked and gives you the miles plus calorie burn info. I always check it over on spark people's map route planner thingy to see if its close. Yesterday I took a 20 min walk to town and window shopped as well which took me around 140 minutes. Great workout plus groceries and errands done. Keep up the good work! 1138 days ago
