This morning I met my friend and we headed out for a girls' day out.
First stop: our favorite apple orchard where they serve the best donuts in Michigan. I confess that I ate a cinnamon sugar donut. It was delicious but I really didn't need it.
Next stop: McDonald's for decaf coffee to go with the donut. Zero calories!
A Farmers' Market was our 3rd. stop. We each bought some fresh veggies like tomatoes, green and red peppers, asparagus, and strawberries. Still pretty healthy!
We headed to a park with a walking track around it but they were holding community yard sales at the park today. We still walked but it was at a browsing speed. We also bought some cookies at a cub scout bake sale. (We ate a couple!)
Next stop was for lunch. I ate a side salad, a half turkey sandwich, and some fruit. I'm still trying to eat healthy.
We finished our trip with a stop at Walmart where we got in a few more steps. I did make it to 10,000 steps!
HOWEVER, once I got back home I made strawberry shortcake and of course; I had some!
It was a fun day out but I need to work on having fun with my friend without it turning into a food fest.
