Feeling icky, but my FitBit came early to cheer me up!

Saturday, June 15, 2013

I hope everyone is having a fabulous Friday!

I had a strange feeling today and felt very tired for the first half of the day. When my husband came home he inquired as to why I hadn't showered. Heck, I don't know, I just don't have any energy. Since finding SP I have had TONS of energy so it was strange to feel so drained. I jumped in the shower around 4 in the afternoon. (I can go to work looking like a bum because I have a home office, so that wasn't an issue.) After I got out of the cool shower I had felt very warm and started sweating before I even dried off so I wasn't sure I was really sweating. After drying off I kept getting wet and feeling like I was overheating. Strange. I looked in the mirror and I looked very pail, in spite of having a dark tan. I felt like I was going to fall and I was extremely thirsty. Parched! I yelled for someone to bring me water, but nobody was in the house. I drank warm tap water and managed to lay down in bed. Such a strange feeling, especially when there was no reason for it.

I missed dinner out with friends but sent hubby. I started feeling better after a couple hours, but still not quite right. Then I noticed my FitBit Flex had arrived. What?! No way! They said 6 - 8 weeks and it hasn't been that long! Suddenly I have this burst of energy to open the box and check out my new gadget. It is now charged, connected and sitting pretty on my wrist. I can't wait to actually DO something and see how it works!

See? All I needed was a reason to feel bouncy and healthy and now I do. My honey just bought home dinner for me so I will go and indulge in a portion of it. I'm sure it's enough for 3 meals. I ordered veggie fajitas without tortillas, I have my own at home.

Have a great weekend!!!

I'm glad to hear that you listened to your body and rested and took care of yourself. :) I will have to read up on Fitbits. I am glad your day ended with a gift in the mail to cheer you up. That always makes my day, too. :)

It could be your body screaming for a break. Drink, eat, relax. As Beach_nut said - never ignore your body! Else, recovery takes longer or you may hurt yourself more. Easy words to say, harder to live by - I'm proof!!

I *love* my FitBit. Wear it every day all day. FYI - you can link it to EarnedIt and join challenges where you have a chance to win prizes. It's a great little driving force, if you're competitive.

Something was a bit off but your body was trying to tell you to drink water and rest. Glad you are feeling better.
