Being at Peace

Friday, June 14, 2013

I cannot change my rheumatoid arthritis or Barrett's Esophagus, but I can work at keeping my health as best I can. I made big lifestyle adjustments with cooking and exercising taking major time.

I cannot change Bob's diseases: kidney failure, heart failure, diabetes, and sleep apnea (his big 4), but I can make him more comfortable. We do home dialysis. I cook for his diabetes and renal diet. I have 2 dietitians that I meet with every month. I want him to hear what is going on, so he gets his hearing aids on Monday afternoon. I try to keep him moving around and doing small errands.

We are really at peace and know our limitations. I feel God's presence each and every day in the beauty of the sunrise, flowers or much more. I sense God's love in my relationships with others. Thanks be to God!
