Many, many times we encounter the advice about what to do if the scale isn't budging. Which is good, because ya never know when you need to see the information again. Last week I ate fewer calories (I'd been at the top of and over my range in the previous weeks, and lost), worked out the same. And gained 1.5 lb!
So back to the basics this week. No sugar alcohols (I'd had a few very lovely bits of low carb chocolate last week). Net carbs back to 35g, from 40g. Late in the week, I remembered to increase my salt consumption. I think I just need a salt lick that clips on to my computer, so I don't have to notice things like calf cramps in the night, constipation, and puffiness as reminders to take a hit of salt! My weight had been drifting UP all week, but after supplementing salt yesterday, the weight dropped back to last week's weigh-in overnight.
Which still leaves me crabby that I haven't made progress. So I got out the tape measure for a "preview", and found I've lost about 2" each off my hips and waist in the past month, even though I'll have only lost 3 or 4 pounds. I guess that's enough to keep the consolation cookies away!
