Not much happening really.

Friday, June 14, 2013

I thought it's been about a week since I've blogged, but dang, it has been over two and you know what? I have nothing to report.

Really bad I know.

No major consistent exercises, just a jaunt here or there when it's not all hot outside.

I've been trying to eat healthier with a binge here or there which makes my weight....stagnate.

I don't even have really cute pics for you.

I HAVE, however, been staying active on my Tangerine team and Starfish teams I think....

I HAVE been keeping up on my garden which has harvested some nice tomatoes and zuchini thus far. So much I'm going to make zucchini bread and salsa today. Then go to a graduation party for my daughters bestie.

I HAVE cleaned up the fourth bedroom aka MY computer, book room and it looks good. finally unpacked it all. Now I just need to paint it pink, or blue, or both.

I HAVE thought about my DVDs a lot. Just need to push the damn play button!!

So, there I am. Oh and I started my last class for my AS degree in Health and Social Science.

Off to work on the laundry room now...Hopefully by the end of summer my house will be officially unpacked. I know, I'm slow..

Maybe I should have named myself "slowpokehippo"?

***update***
OMGosh yes there IS something and I'm pretty stoked about it. Probably more so than I should be just yet but I am. A friend of mine (Kim Possible) and I both have our youngest graduating in a few years. It will be both of our "last" ones and rather than suffering in an empty nest we decided to celebrate in adult fashion. We are saving up now and planning to go to a tropical island after graduation.

I really really am so excited because here's the deal. I'm going. I'm like don't care if anyone else follows I'm on a trip with my big ol' sunhat outta here going! I am going to a bank and setting up an auto savings that I'm not going to touch going.

Here are the top 10 choices. We want to narrow down where we are going THIS year. So, take a look at this link and give me your vote. Okay? Okay. Go...go do it now!!!

Oh hope, how lovely! All look good. I am voting for Turks and Caicos Islands - the most likely to cost least to get there, and also the least jet lag = more time to enjoy the trip. Just thought I'd be practical on this.

I say go to Cook Island. Fiji and Tahiti are too famous and will be crowded. Some of the islands are super popular with honeymooners. Cook MIGHT not be crowded...

What a wonderful idea! They all look so beautiful and inviting.

I will vote for Fernando de Noronha, mostly because tourism is limited--so you get to enjoy the atmosphere without the huge crush of people.

I love your idea! I'm not a tropical island sort of gal, but I would love to take a long vacation in Europe (England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland). Good for you for taking the first step.

I would pick Mnemba island mostly because I would want to swim with the whale shark but I have also always wanted to go to anything in French Polynesia, kind of was thinking Bora Bora. The Fernando one off of Brazil sounded very cool too.

Take me with you, ok. emoticon
